The organic bicycle that’s welcome on pavements everywhere

A group of walkers has developed a new type of organic bicycle that effectively side-steps all local regulations outlawing the use of bikes on pavements.

The group behind the idea developed the so-called Human Bicycle as a way of bypassing regulations that forbid cycling within airports, but there is little reason why the concept cannot be used in any indoor area.

The Environmental Transport Association (ETA) said they had yet to receive any cycle insurance enquiries related to the new bike.

A spokesperson said: “The human bicycle is slower than the average bike, but to its advantage it can be used almost anywhere.”

Cycle insurance for regular bikes

If your cycle is a little more conventional than the human bicycle, cycle insurance from the ETA includes new-for-old replacement if your bike is stolen, cover for accidental damage (race events included), third party insurance, personal accident cover and a bicycle breakdown recovery service. From 33p per week.
