Car Junkie Detox | Public transport snobery

Today was a funny one – did the usual train / walk to work business. After work I was due to go to an engagement party, I had arranged for a friend to come and pick me up from the station, but was running late so called her and said not to worry about picking me up – I’ll get the bus.

I might as well have just said I was marrying a tramp – my friend was appalled
“ You can’t get the bus, that’ll be horrible – get Jade (named changed) to pick you, she’s coming through town a bit later”

I didn’t really mind getting the bus so didn’t call Jade, but then she called me and told me she was picking me up, no arguments.

I’ve got used to using public transport now – but it’s seems my friends haven’t!
