Cyclists from around London are being sent a link to a safety video in a bid to cut road deaths.
Transport for London is behind the scheme, which aims to educate bikers on the dangers of lorries in the capital.
The five-minute film has been sent to around 140,000 cyclists and gives tips such as to make sure they remember that drivers of large vehicles may not always be able to see them in their mirrors.
Bike riders are also advised on matters including road positioning and undertaking.
Boris Johnson, the city’s mayor, commented that he wants people in London to feel “excited about our cycle revolution”.
He added: “It is crucial that lorry drivers and cyclists look out for one another on our streets and behave in a way that keeps them safe.”
Last week, Lord Adonis, the transport secretary, unveiled the government’s latest report on carbon reduction.
It stated that a target is in place to cut transport emissions by 14 per cent in the next decade.
