Wigwags

I have just learnt of a new word – wigwag. Or at least a new meaning of the word. I have heard of wig and of wag or that windscreen wipers go wigwag, but I did not realise that the red lights at level crossings and fire stations were also called wigwags.


How exciting is that? My life is now complete.
