The go-anywhere glamping hot tub

The Nomad is a wood-fired hot tub for glamping expeditions that promises an end to the damp floors of the communal shower block.

The Nomad heater coil provides hot water on demand that can be powered by gas or firewood. The clever part is that it uses thermo syphoning to circulate the water, so no water pump is needed. The heater coil can be bought separately to heat most tubs using the universal adapter provided.

So now the over equipped morons that visit our area are being encouraged to threaten forest and grassland fires just because they can’t go a day or two without a bath. I think you will find that the lighting of fires in most of the countryside with public access is either illegal or against local site regulations. Me if they want to wash that desperately I’d use a water cannon on them.
By burning dead wood or for that matter green wood they are destroying a valuable micro habitat as well as polluting the air with their smoke.
We who live and work in the countryside would rather these wimps stayed at home where they can shower every couple of hours and spray themselves with the masses of male cosmetics that they seem to like.

In most things I agree with Jim, the exception is that I don’t think hot tubs are about keeping clean, they’re simply a luxury to be enjoyed. People have them in their gardens despite having an indoor bathroom.

This isn’t the type of gadget the ENVIRONMENTAL Transport Association, which claims to have green ethics, should be promoting.

When we ‘camp’ in our tiny old caravan with cold water we use wet wipes, they are very efficient but they are brought home and disposed of in landfill (of which we have very little) and not into the septic tank or sewage or sewage system.

    Minimalism rules!

      Hi Mary
Having them in a garden is one thing and I’m OK with that except for the waste of water, but to take them out to the countryside is another thing, in one shot there is a lake or river, how about a dip in that if they have to.
What I object to is the urbanisation of the countryside, cafes at popular sites, tarmac cycle routes, paved footpaths, litter bins, seats, picnic tables etc. It’s almost as bad as carrying a cycle on car for 50 plus miles having a two hour cycle ride and then taking it back home.
