Add a merino wool warmth to those chilly morning rides

merino wool jersey

The promise of warmer weather does little to fend off the bitter chill at this time of the year. However, Merino wool can help.

Breathable, naturally anti-bacterial, lightweight and soft are the properties that make Merino wool ideally suited for cycling in spring.

dhb have chosen a mid-weight Merino, blended polyamide to allow for a snug fit and added a polypropylene layer on the inside of the fabric to help moisture evaporate quicker.

We have a red dhb merino long-sleeve jersey worth £80 to give away. To enter the draw, simply leave us a comment below and specify the size you’d like (XS/S/M/L/XL/2XL) – we’ll pick a winner next week.

Ethical cycle insurance

A true test of a cycle insurance company is what happens when you make a claim – it’s why we don’t farm out the process like other providers. Your claim is dealt with by one of us here and you’re always welcome to call us directly. It’s also the reason we will never devalue your bicycle, no matter how old it is.

We don’t claim to be the cheapest cover on the market, but should you ever need to make a claim, you’ll understand why we consider ourselves to be the best. After all, we are judged by The Good Shopping Guide to be Britain’s most ethical provider.

I never thought, when I signed up with ETA several years ago, that I’d be in for such an entertaining, and enriching experience! What other breakdown service offers such fascinating stories, enviable offers and campaigning reports? I don’t care a bit that the focus is all on bikes and cars are never mentioned. More power to your elbows! I hope I win this jumper for one of my cycling (grown-up) kids who all bike all over their cities in preference to driving.

Merino wool – Porous but glorious, naturally long but very strong, an early century sheep with wool so deep, originally from Spain, for matadors in the rain, so very darn and good to yarn, for my wife avoiding strife of cold on the bike, extra small would fit her just fine🚴‍♀️
