The bicycle water bottle that tells you when to drink

Smart phones already map rides, report potholes and provide maintenance guides, but the latest app lets cyclists know when they need a drink. BluFit does not count down the time to last orders, but rather lets you know when you need to use your water bottle.

blufit

BluFit is aimed at anyone with an active lifestyle, but may be of particular use to long-distance commuters or sportive riders. It is vitally important to stay well hydrated on a long ride, and if you wait until you are thirsty before you take a drink, you are already at risk of dehydration and no longer performing at peak efficiency.

BluFit comprises a Bluetooth-enabled water bottle and an app that uses your weight, age, temperature and humidity to determine exactly how much water you need.

The water bottle sends a record of when, and how much, you drink, straight to your phone, which then displays your hydration level and graphs of historical data to help ensure your riding remains at optimum efficiency.

If you fail to drink enough, BluFit has sound and light alerts to remind you to take a swig from your water bottle.
