Kerb appeal: Eco cars fared better

Almost half of men questioned in the motoring website poll felt that an expensive car made them appear sexier, but a similar proportion of women said it made men seem ‘arrogant, self-centred and dangerous’ on the road.’

I wonder how long before women will say the same thing about lycramen on expensive flashy mountain and racing bikes in contrast to riders of modest but practical upright bicycles who are travelling in comfort to do the shopping or make their way to the office.

Yay! Plus 1 for recumbent riders. Unfortunately the design of mine means that I pretty much have to wear specialist clothing of some sort as I tend to get greasy marks down one leg, and that generally means lycra. If there was any practical alternative I’d take it.
