Diabolical bicycle leaves trail of fire

Laying a trail of burning rubber on the road as a way of getting yourself noticed now the clocks have gone back will attract the wrong sort of attention and cost a small fortune in replacement tyres, but as a way of promoting a new bicycle called the Diablo it works rather well.

An imaginative Youtube film to promote the 6.75kg Diablo Dura Ace shows it being ‘baptized by fire’; ridden with its tyres ablaze and leaving a trail of flame in its wake.

A bicycle with a working flame thrower was unveiled last month as deterrent against motorists overtaking too close.

Cycle insurance

Whilst fire is a danger rarely faced by most cyclists, there are other risks to consider. Cycle insurance from the ETA includes new-for-old replacement if your bike is stolen, cover for accidental damage (race events inlcuded), third party insurance (in the case of an accident you may need to seek compensation or even deal with a claim by someone else), personal accident cover and if you breakdown, they will even come out and recover you and your bike. From 33p per week.
