If you can't ride your bike, we'll help you clean it
April 14, 2020
You'll be riding your bike less than usual during these uncertain times, so why not give it the clean of its life?
We're giving away a top notch bike cleaning kit from Green Oil, a British company that claims to make the world's greenest bicycle maintenance products.
Green Oil has been fighting the use of carcinogenic PTFE and petrochemical pollution. The harm they do in a workshop environment, in your garage, and to the rivers and seas can last for years. As a result, the company uses recycled (not just recyclable) plastic in its bottles and plant-based fully biodegradable formulas.
The bumper cleaning kit we're giving away includes two bottles of Green Oil Wet Chain Lube, two bike armour anti-rub plates, eco bike cleaner, degreaser jelly, an EcoRag cleaning cloth, Ecogrease and an FSC certified bicycle brush. And when you're finished with it, the packaging tub includes a seed pack so you can use it to grow your own vegetables.

Cheaper bike cleaning solution
If you're not lucky enough to win the bike cleaning kit, we think we’ve stumbled upon a cheap, quick, efficient and non-toxic alternative that costs £3 per bottle.
Method multi—purpose cleaner is aimed at kitchen use but it does a marvellous job of blasting through road grime after a mucky ride. We like it because the ingredients are biodegradable. And some are derived from corn and coconut so as an added benefit, your bike will never have smelled better.
