Get creative to solve cycle storage stress
December 7, 2021
When you're short of space, bicycle storage becomes an exercise in creativity. However, if disguising your bike as a loo roll holder seems a step too far, how about using a bit of wall space?
The Hiplok Jaw is a compact wall-mounted bike rack for storing bicycles, which works just as well inside or out.
The adjustable design fits all popular bicycle types (fits tyre sizes 20mm – 75mm), and can hold bikes in a horizontal or vertical position. Oh, and to safeguard against your housemates commandeering your bike, the Jaw includes a security tie.
Win a Hiplok Jaw
We have two Hiplok Jaws to give away. If you'd like to be in with a chance of winning one simply leave us a message at the bottom of the page and we'll pick a name next week.
What’s wrong with keeping your bicycle in the shed?
Assuming you have a shed, thieves now target them specifically for the bicycles within and as a result, many cycle insurance companies now insist on a high level of door lock security. Cycle insurance from the ETA has a sympathetic policy towards keeping bicycle sin a shed; you can use any type of lock to secure the door and the bike doesn’t have to be locked while left inside – although if it’s visible through a window you have to cover it with a blanket or similar.
