Set your sights on cycling summer lights

koma bicycle light

Good weather might be taking its time to arrive, but the longer days do at least allow for smaller lights on your bike.

The stylish Koma, which takes its name from a traditional Japanese wooden toy, is compact enough to be attached almost anywhere on your bike. However, despite its diminutive size (the outside diameter measures only 30mm), the aluminium-bodied light puts out 20 lumens for up to 20 hours at a time.

Bolts and washers are included with the light, but you’ll have to find your own micro USB cable as the company wants to help reduce electrical waste.

Can it be used a spinning top too, as the name suggests? (Might scratch the edge of the lens if you try though).

You can’t have too many lights on your bike as far as I’m concerned. Wherever and whenever – anything to ensure we are more easily seen, especially in the crazy London traffic nowadays!

I rather like that saddle too. I’ve been toying with the idea of getting one for my Brompton. But that light is neat too. I’d stick it on one of the kid’s bikes 🙂

Having come off my bike this week, by hitting a pedestrian who stepped into the cycle lane I was in without warning and then hitting the car on the outside of me before finally going over the handlebars 🙄) I could do with all the visibility I can get my hands on! Looks like a great product 👍🏼😌

You’re right that lights are important, even in the summer and something quite intense is required for daylight in order to stand out.
