Speed Up Bag: A go-faster nose cone for your bicycle

Looking like an aircraft nose cone for your bicycle, the Speed up Bag claims to be the world’s most aerodynamic handlebar cycling bag by reducing air resistance enough to increase road speed.

Conventional cube-shaped handlebar bags are two-and-half times less aerodynamic then Speed up Bag. The effect of the cone improves the air resistance by 15%, and thereby increasing average speeds by up to 6% on a basic bike. However, at an introductory price of £180, it is unlikely that the bag will be fitted to anything other than expensive bikes. During testing of the prototype bag, improvements in speed on bikes costing over £1,000 were up to 3 per cent.

The 4-litre bag is also available in carbon.
