Park Tool puncture repair kit up for grabs

park tool puncture kit, competition

It’s possible to ride 1,000 uneventful miles only for the puncture fairy to strike with a vengeance. Nobody knows why, but flats, like buses, turn up in twos and threes.

Bicycle tyre punctures: Be prepared

You can reduce the stress of an unplanned roadside pit-stop by carrying good quality tools. And with the weather soon to improve, and many bikes set to emerge from winter hibernation, we’re giving away a Park Tool puncture repair kit.

The kit comes in a tool roll containing:

  • Micro Pump
  • Multi tool
  • Pre-glued GP-2 ‘super patches’
  • Tyre levers
  • Emergency tyre boot*
  • Pressure gauge
  • Schrader / Presta adaptor

If you have ETA cycle insurance, don’t forget it includes Cycle Rescue. If you suffer a mechanical breakdown while cycling (including punctures or a flat battery when using an e-bike), we’ll arrange for you and your bike to be recovered.

*A patch for the inside of your tyre (as opposed to the inner tube) in case it’s badly holed or torn.

Win a Park Tool puncture repair kit

The ethical choice

The ETA was established in 1990 as an ethical provider of green, reliable travel services. Over 30 years on, we continue to offer cycle insurance , breakdown cover and mobility scooter insurance while putting concern for the environment at the heart of all we do.

The Good Shopping Guide judges us to be the UK’s most ethical provider.

Banish the puncture fairy?? Come on, ETA – sort yourselves out! You should welcome the puncture fairy, embrace the puncture fairy. The puncture fairy is the one who comes along and fixes the puncture! It’s the puncture troll, the puncture gremlin you should be after! 😉

The bit about punctures coming in multiples is so true! This kit would be fantastic on tours, and the emergency tyre boot would avoid the need to carry a spare folding tyre, which is what I do at the moment.

I’ve had 3 friends get punctures in the last week, a good repair kit would be most welcome. However my current tyre levers areover 50 years old, I had them as a kid and they’re better than any new ones I’ve used.
