Stars in speeding trouble
April 1, 2009
Two well-known American stars are in hot water for speeding.
Hollywood actor Matt Dillon was yesterday (March 31st) fined after pleading guilty to the offence.
Mr Dillon was clocked driving at 106mph in December last year and could have faced a jail term.
Elsewhere, OutKast rapper Andre 3000 was arrested at the weekend for reaching 109mph while behind the wheel.
The police stated that the star was driving so fast that he was "an accident waiting to happen".
Andre, whose real name is Andre Benjamin, is set to appear in court on April 29th to face the speeding charge.
The pair are the latest in a long line of celebrities behaving badly behind the wheel.
In February, former Newcastle United and England manager Kevin Keegan was banned from driving for six months after being found guilty of speeding.
The 57-year-old drove at 36mph in a 30mph zone last August, which took the points on his licence up to 12.
