Charity bike ride insurance

The ETA offer a single, simple, cycle insurance policy which can cover you whilst taking part in a number of special events. We cover for races, triathlons, time trials, sportives, as well as charity bike rides.

Whether its a marathon ride from coast to coast or simply a leisurely sponsored family event, if you are planning to take part in a charity cycle ride, your ETA cycle insurance will cover you.

What is covered?

Whilst taking part in a charity bike ride, all the benefits of our cycle insurance apply. These include:

What if I am taking part in a charity bike ride abroad?

A number of popular charity bike rides are international, going from London to Paris for example, or even further afield. The good news is that our cycle insurance comes with 90 days Worldwide cover as standard. Whilst you are abroad you are covered against theft, accidental damage and vandalism. However, the parts of our insurance that apply to the rider and not the bicycle – personal accident, third party and Cycle Rescue cover – do not apply outside of Britain.

What if I am taking in a competitive race event?

As long as you are not competing professionally – that is, you are not being paid or receiving corporate sponsorship to race – we will cover you for the benefits shown above.
