Win a winter light set

cateye lights

With a little over three weeks before the end of British Summer Time, it pays to check and if necessary renew your winter lights. In honour of the change of season we have a light set worth £50 to give away. However, don’t think for a moment that you need to spend big bucks to get good illumination. One of our favourite rear lights is the high intensity light from Cree available for only £8 from Wilko

The light set we have to giveaway includes a USB-rechargeable Volt 200XC and Rapid Mini. To be in with a chance of winning, simply leave us a comment below.

I’ve got one of those Cateye rear lights
They are rearly good! BUT BE CAREFUL
See that on-off button in the picture?
If you’re not paying attention, you’ll mistake it for the very similar (red but feels the same) USB socket cover on the other end of the light.
And if you prise the button open, instead of the cover, a tiny wee plastic part will spring out and never be seen again…

Extract of a poem by David Whalen:

“If you could see what it tis, that cats can see
It would amaze, perplex and astound you

For they can see, most easily
The sights and worlds that swirl around you

Seen by you as a half glimpsed shadow…
A furtive movement from the corner of one’s eye

Unseen by you, behind that sly shadow
Is where the other worlds lie.”
