A brand new Method of cleaning your bicycle this winter

New bicycle cleaning method

There’s no shortage of bicycle cleaners on sale at this time of year…in fact, we ourselves gave a bottle away last week. However, we think we’ve stumbled upon a cheap, quick, efficient and non-toxic alternative that costs £2-£3 per bottle.

Method multi—purpose cleaner is aimed at kitchen use but it does a marvellous job of blasting through road grime and mud after a winter commute. We like it because the ingredients are naturally derived and biodegradable. Some are derived from corn and coconut so as an added benefit, your bike will never have smelled better.

Win a bottle of Method multi-purpose cleaning spray

We have bought five bottles to give away so you can try it for yourself.

In order to enter the draw to win a bottle of Method cleaning spray, simply leave us a quick message at the bottom of this page.

Protection for you and your bike

ETA Cycle Insurance never devalues your bike, doesn’t charge extra for things like third party liability, personal accident or friends and family cover, and has a sympathetic policy on storage in sheds and garages.

For over 27 years we have been providing straightforward, affordable bicycle insurance and in 2016 we were voted Britain’s most ethical insurer.

I have used this cleaner before in my kitchen and I was definitely impressed, it had a lovely rhubarb aroma and cut through grease leaving no smear marks. So if it is good enough for my kitchen I would love to use it on my bike.
