Endura Hummvee shorts up for grabs

hummvee cycling shorts

Endura Humvee cycling shorts are described as mountain bike gear, but we think their appeal is far broader –  for a start, they offer commuters a practical, comfortable and warm way to wear shorts all year round.

The shorts feature an adjustable belted waist and Velcro leg adjustment that allows a custom fit, but best of all, they boast a detachable, padded six-panel clickfast liner. Furthermore, the Hummvee features two rear tabbed large map pockets, two front zipped pockets, a side cargo pocket and a zipped mobile phone pocket.

Endura Hummvee shorts features

  • Made from Teflon-treated nylon with side- zipped ventilation
  • Two large map pockets, two front zipped pockets, cargo pocket and zipped mobile phone pocket
  • Stretch lower back panel and seamless stretch inner leg panel
  • Six-panel Clickfast removable liner
  • Adjustable belt

Environmentally friendly cycle insurance

On the face of it, one cycle insurance policy is much like another, but the devil is the detail. How much excess you will be charged is just one of the things that varies wildly between providers. Another is so called ‘new-for-old’ replacement – many insurers use this term, but if your bicycle is more than a few years old, devalue it severely. This means you are left out of pocket when you come to replace it. Read our insider guide to cycle insurance.

ETA cycle insurance has a low standard excess of 5% (minimum £25) and offers a new-for-old for life – however old the bike, if it’s stolen you get enough to buy a new model. Furthermore, every cycle insurance policy you buy from us helps support the work of the ETA Trust, our charity campaigning for a cleaner, safer transport future.

For over 26 years we have been providing straightforward, affordable bicycle insurance. Whether you use your bike to commute, shop, race or amble in the park, ETA Cycle Insurance has you covered. We never devalue bikes no matter their age, allow you to buy your replacement bike wherever you like, replace stolen quick release components and handle claims in-house.

The Good Shopping Guide has voted us Britain’s most ethical insurance company.

My ebike is insured by yourselves. I commute to work and save hundreds on buses or petrol and parking; and am getting fit into the bargain. I like shorts as much of the year as possible, but refuse to become a mamil. These would be great, so long as they’re not measured in gore bikewear style, as I am a normal human and not a stick insect…

I am a 72 year old cyclist. Following a gap of 20 years since I was last on a cycle I bought myself a new e-bike. On my first ride I went through a pair of staggered gates, forgot I had a rear pannier and caught the second gate.

I was flung to the ground and the right pedal caused a serious injury to my right leg. Rushed to hospital, operation and now two months later still bandaged knee to toe.

Prognosis is will not be healed until after Christmas. I am living in shorts and so could do with a new pair.
