Nakefit: Shoes for walking barefoot

Nakefit foot sticker

Spend enough time barefoot and the soles of your feet will toughen and become accustomed to all manner of terrain. For those of us confined to shoes, there comes an alternative in the form of Nakefit – a self-adhesive protective sole that allows the wearer to experience bare foot walking without any of the disadvantages.

The easily-removable  stickers are waterproof and protect against slipping, cuts…and hot sand.

Barefoot running

Barefoot runners land on the middle or front of their foot. Running in padded shoes alters this pattern, making the runner more prone to land heavily on their heel before rolling onto the forefoot.

Humans had been running barefoot comfortably and safely for thousands of years before the advent of trainers. Proponents of barefoot running claim they are far less likely to suffer from injury. In fact, a study in 1991 stated that “wearers of expensive running shoes promoted as having additional features that protect (cushioning or ‘pronation correction’) are injured significantly more frequently than runners wearing inexpensive shoes”.

We have 20 pairs of Nakefit sticker shoes to give away – 10 for men, 10 for women. Leave us a comment at the bottom of the page and let us know where or how you would use your sticker shoes.

In the heat and on the pebbled beaches I was incredibly jealous of the people who could take a stroll enjoying nature against their bare skin while I was hopping around like a kangaroo. These are an answered need for me. Whenever I take my family swimming I have a hard time enjoying myself. Concrete around pools and in the pool itself is made rough and porous to prevent slipping. I have very sensitive feet, and am constantly taking off and on shoes in and out of the water. I wear water shoes when I can, but many pools do not allow them. If I dont wear something on my feet, by the end of the day my feet are all scraped, and I can barely walk. Many times I have to sit out halfway through the day if we are at a pool that doesnt allow them. I think they would allow these, and actually think places like pools or beach shops would like to be able to sell these. I also hate the water build up in water shoes. This would free my swimming experiences and leave me to enjoy my family, not worrying about my feet all day.

I am going on a road trip to Sweden and would like to do some running there in the woods. However running shoes take in a lot of space. They would also come in handy for my trip to Australia!

My daughter is planning to travel extensively and she is really fussy when it comes to not wearing anything on her feet plus these are a great alternative to the sandles and look super-light weight – they might be just what she needs! I would love to try a pair.

Oh, I like to walk barefoot all the time, I already was barefoot a whole summer several years ago. It was so deliberating. I would wear the nakefit just to go in town or walk in the woods. Love it

A large group of my friends and i are always walking barefoot now that we are older and not running. We just love the bare freedom of our feet gripping the ground. Sneakers and flip flops do not always cut it and are too confining or even dangerous. We love to walk barefoot everywhere we can but when we walk barefoot in places where we may hurt the bottom of our feet these covers would be a fantastic protection for our soles. It is a real inconvenience to not have barefoot access everywhere. I’ve already improvised foot soles from other adhesive coverings but they either fall off, stick glue to my soles or wear out just when you need them the most. We would love to try your nakefit stick shoes and send you our thoughts & comments

Hello, Frank. We ordered a few pairs as the prize for the competition mentioned above but we haven’t received anything yet…one of the perils of buying through crowdfunding sites

When I saw your product I was so excited..I have a condition Hallux Valgus…This condition leads to painful motion of the joint or difficulty with footwear. After a few mins of wearing any kind of shoe if my feet are so sore. I have tried surgeries, orthotics …nothing works. I would love to try your product.

You’ve probably heard them all, but my story is this. I’ve been going barefoot for years as a child & teen that lived in Florida. They fact is I still do in the house, I really don’t like stuff incasing my feet. Makes me feel clostrphobic or something. I now live in Maine as an adult, I hate that I need shoes and socks in the winter here. But summers are great. Except theirs a whole lot more rocks here on the ground. I’ve recently been able to go to a therapy place that has a salt, warm water pool. I’m so looking forward to going. They require we wear a water shoes or sandal in the pool area. These would be fantastic! I would sure love too try these on for size.id be happy to share with others while I’m there as well as tell the place about your flats! I’m hoping that you’ll give me this opportunity to try them as well as spread the word about these amazing flats! Thank you ever so much Waiting for your reply.ever so anxiously!
    Sincerely, Diana

I go barefoot literally almost all spring, all summer, and fall until it becomes to cold to wander around shoe less. I love the feel of the terrain on my bare feet, and i even have built up callused feet from years of dance. With Nakefit even walking on blacktop in the middle of the summer would be as nice as walking through the grass. I could wander wherever without the dangers of heat blisters, thorns, rocks, or glass. Nakefits are perfect! Womens 9 1/2- 10

OMG! I would absoulty love these I don’t wear shoes as it is and this would be a life saver for my feet.. I always end up with stained black feet from the pavement and (with rough unattractive feet) these would give me back soft “girl” feet! I love this!!♥️

I’d love to try a pair on my elderly dog who keeps slipping on our floors, I’d cut them to his paw size. I’ve tried doggy boots but they’re just not fitting him correctly. If they work on my dog, maybe that’s another line you could introduce to sell, I’ll give you my feedback after using. Thanks 🙂

I love going barefoot when I can, but due to having shoes on most of the day my soles are too soft for my holidays, these would be a great help whilst allowing to be barefoot but still having some protection. Need to try this great idea!

I feel that we always buy things we don’t need but want such as shoes, and this isn’t environmentally friendly as we throw out shoes every day. If these were available for purchase this would be world changing and it’s our duty for the next generation to try rid the world of consumerism which eventually ends up in the water polluting our beauty ocean and world
    Thanks

I actually walk everywhere barefoot already. Mainly in city streets cause that’s where I live but on grass and mud when I can. Been doing it for almost 6 months now.

I go barefoot all the time, but I need extra durability while I am backpacking. I usually just use a full sheet of mole skin to cover the bottom of my feet during long hiking days. I would like to use them during my backpacking trips as a more comfortable and hopefully more durable alternative.
