finn universal smartphone mount

With a host of cycling apps now aimed at cyclists of all sorts, how best to attach your smartphone to your handlebars safely and securely? Finn is a universal smartphone mount for every bike and any handlebar.

Thanks to a simple design and high quality silicone material, the makers claim the mount can withstand whatever you throw at it.

Win a Finn universal smartphone mount

We’ve been given five of the Finn smartphone mounts worth £12 each to give away by Go Cycle, a cycling project run by Kingston council which we are proud to support. The Finns come with a code that allows you to download a London map for free (usually costs £5).

Simply leave us a quick comment at the bottom of this page and let us know how you use your smartphone while cycling and we’ll pick a winner after Easter.

ETA cycle insurance

ETA cycle insurance offers a sympathetic policy on the storage of bicycles. For example, as long as a shed door is locked, the bicycles stored within do not require any further security. In addition, the policy covers stolen quick-release components and for added peace of mind, claims are handled in-house. Furthermore, bikes are never devalued, no matter their age. Hardly surprising that The Good Shopping Guide rated us ethical in Britain.

Well this would help me stop getting lost and banging on an extra 20km to a long ride! I need this in my life (and on my bars)!

Ooh this looks interesting – my phone lives in my bag when I cycle, which means pulling over and taking gloves off every time I need to check directions (and, inevitably, avoiding new and unknown routes as I have a terrible sense of direction). Not really ideal!

I use the Samsung Health app to record my cycling but I have to keep it in the back pocket of my cycling top so I have no idea what miles or speed I am doing.

At the moment I don’t use my smartphone while cycling, as I don’t have any way of safely attaching it, but a Finn would solve that problem and would be brilliant!

We have cycled Calais to the Med for the past 4 years and find our phones indispensable for routes but more importantly accommodation. The bike mounts we had weren’t very secure – we had to use elastic bands over the top – very fiddly, would be great for 2 old timers to have some better ones.

When I come to London on the train with my Brompton I often print out cycle routes from TFL and then have to stop to check them out and memorise the next section every so often. A Finn mount for my Fairphone would make life much easier. All I would need then would be an app to allow me to see the screen in full daylight!!

My health/active app is linked to my life insurance – the more active I am the lower my premium. I currently only track step count but this little gadget would enable me to track my cycling too! Win!
