Congestion charge debated

As the closing date for votes draws closer, those opposed to the Manchester congestion charge had their say at a debate.
The two-hour discussion involved a panel of experts talking about the issue, while audience members also got their chance to put forward any concerns.
During the event Sir Richard Leese, leader of Manchester City council, and Liz Phelan, head of the Yes Campaign, commented voters had the choice between a transport revolution and "absolutely nothing".
The pair added as many as 10,000 new jobs will be created for the area, while the plans will also give a boost to the environment.
Sir Richard went on to say congestion charging is working well in other cities across Europe.
However, the duo were criticised by the opposition who suggested the plans are not in the best interest of tax payers.
The result of the postal-ballot vote will be revealed on December 12th.
