Cover for theft, accidental damage and vandalism (includes race events)  [ top ]

If your bike is stolen settlements are paid by cheque. If you damage your bicycle while riding (even if you are competing in a race event) your insurance from ETA will pay for repairs. Similarly, if your bike should be vandalised we will pay to get it back on the road.

New-for-old  [ top ]

Cycle insurance from the ETA does not de-value your bike over time. This means that you get back the sum you insured it for, minus the excess.

When you buy bike insurance from the ETA, you are covered against theft, accidental damage and vandalism at race events at no additional cost. This includes the transition areas at triathlon events.

Cycle Rescue breakdown cover  [ top ]

The ETA were the first to offer a recovery service for cyclists and it is included for free when you take out bicycle insurance. If you are unable to complete a journey due to a mechanical breakdown, we will recover you and your bike from any road in Britain – our average response time is 40 minutes. We then take you and your cycle to a railway station, cycle repair shop home, back to your car or to alternative accommodation if either is nearer. You can use this service after an accident, theft, vandalism or irreparable breakdown of your bike. This Cycle Rescue service is included for free with ETA cycle insurance.

£1m third party insurance  [ top ]

If you injure someone or damage their property while cycling, you may need to deal with a claim for compensation. ETA cycle insurance will pay out up to £1million if you find yourself being sued in this way. This cover applies to all bicycles insured by the ETA.

In addition, the 3rd party insurance now covers the policy holder on ANY cycle that they have permission to ride.

Personal accident cover  [ top ]

Your cycle insurance policy from the ETA will pay out up to £20,000 if you are killed or seriously injured while cycling.

Hire bicycle  [ top ]

If your bicycle is stolen or off the road following a claim, we can offer you cycle hire up to the value of £250. Hire bike service is included as standard in every policy.

Worldwide cover  [ top ]

Your cycle insurance policy from the ETA includes up to 90 days in Europe. All benefits apply except Cycle Rescue and Third Party insurance.

Your cycle insurance policy from the ETA includes up to 60 days worldwide cover in addition to the European cover. All benefits apply except Cycle Rescue and Third Party insurance and personal accident.

40% discount for folding bikes  [ top ]

If you ride a folding bike, why should you pay the same premium as someone that rides a conventional cycle? ETA cycle insurance offers a 40 per cent discount for folding bicycles.

Get you home cover

We will pay for a taxi if your bike gets stolen or vandalised.
