As high fuel prices and a concern for the environment prompt people to think about the way they travel, the search is on for the country’s greenest commuters in a competition being run by the Environmental Transport Association.
The best entry from each of six regions will be announced during Green Transport Week, which runs 14th – 22nd June and will win carbon offsetting for their home for one year.
What is it?
- Do you cycle to work come rain or shine?
- Do you leave the car at home and do all your local errands on foot?

- Do you use an unusual, but environmentally-friendly means of transport?
If so, you stand a chance of being crowned Green Commuter of the Year for your region.
Remember, it doesn’t matter if you are not commuting to a place of work – any regular journey will qualify
