The Twig

“With his high-fibre diet of mung beans, some people say he should be classed as a polluting vehicle in his own right. We refer to him simply as The Twig”
Who, or what is The Twig?
No one really knows, but there is a rumour that he may be a distant cousin of The Stig – the anonymous character who tests sports cars on the BBC’s Top Gear programme.
What does he do?
The Twig is a person of few words, and it’s never entirely clear what’s going on behind that darkened visor, but we do know he is green.
He turned up recently to help judge this year’s Green Car Awards. Spurning the most powerful and polluting cars on test, and using a system of nods and jerky hand gestures, he made clear to us that he buys no heavier a car than he needs for day-to-day use, preferring to rent a heavier model when need be. Where next for The Twig?
It’s hard to pin him down, but next time he turns up at our offices we’ll film him and post the video on this site.
Can I contact The Twig?
His views are his own and we can’t guarantee he’ll reply, but email him at thetwig@eta.co.uk and see what he has to say. The Twig also has his very own Facebook page look him up by searching GREEN TWIG.
