Lynzi gets electric - tales from my journey on the electric bike | Riding in the rain
Cycling in the rain, it’s not clever and certainly not fun!
Last Friday my cycle commute home was not fun at all due to the torrential rain storm. It had been raining on and off since lunch time but due to the glorious weather in the morning I was wearing a short sun dress and a cardigan.
After work I waited a little while for the rain to clear but when it was obvious it was going to keep raining, so I decided to bite the bullet and leave – I thought if it was still raining by the time I got to the train station I would get the train, so a borrowed an ‘I LOVE MY BIKE’ hoody from the marketing cupboard and off I went.
After cycling for a minute up the road the thunder and lighting set in and the rain turned torrential, so decided to get the train. But the mean ol’ sw railways wouldn’t let me on the train with the Wisper, so I had to cycle the whole 16 miles home in the heaviest rain I’d seen in a long time.
When I got home I was actually soaked through to my knickers – I was driped water all through my flat – hideous!

Even one of these bad boys wouldn’t have kept me dry!
