The ETA
Founded in 1990, the Environmental Transport Association (ETA) aims to raise awareness of the impact of excessive car use and help individuals and organisations to make positive changes in their travel habits.
ETA’s mission is to be the ethical alternative to other motoring organisations, by providing high quality services to everyone concerned about the impact of transport on the environment; in doing so, we will generate funds for ETA’s campaigns.
So why ETA?
- We are the world’s first climate-neutral motoring organisation, which means that we are offsetting the carbon emissions of our organisation.
- We started Green Transport Week in 1992 which aims to demonstrate how we can all reduce our dependency on cars.
- We inaugurated National Car Free Day held on 22nd September every year.
- We conduct and commission research into environmental transport issues.
- ETA produces a Car Buyers Guide annually for people greener vehicles.
- We have firmly established environmental and ethical business policies to ensure that our day-to-day activities respect the environment.
